Online Licensing FAQ's

Where do I find my licensing number ?

Your license number will be on the license issued to you by Lane County Animal Services or on the renewal notice sent to you in the mail.  If you do not have either your renewal notice or your license, call Lane County Animal Services at 682-3645, Tuesday through Saturday, and they can help you track down your license number.

What is the fee to pay online ?

If paying with a Visa or MasterCard, you will be charged a $1.50 convenience fee by US Bank.  This  fee is paid directly to US Bank for the use of this service.  The convenience fee will be disclosed to you prior to you completing your payment.  Once you begin the online licensing process, you will have the ability to cancel the payment prior to completing if you do not want to pay the convenience fee.

What information will I need to pay online ?

  1. A valid e-mail address
  2. Your pet’s current rabies expiration date and veterinary clinic name
  3. A valid VISA or Mastercard
  4. For license renewals you will need your pet’s current license number which can be found on their license tag or on the notice of renewal mailed to you by Lane County Animal Services.
 What if I don't have a rabies certificate ?

Your pet must be current in their rabies inoculations to be licensed.  If your pet’s rabies inoculations are current and you have misplaced the certificate, you can call your vet to get the expiration date.  If your pet's rabies inoculations are not current, your pet will need a rabies shot before it can be licensed.

What if I have moved ?

You will need to call 682-3645 or stop by the shelter to change your address on your dog’s license record.
