HELPING HANDS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

LANE COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICESwelcomes volunteers to help with various projects.

PROJECTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED:

• Office Bulletin Board. Beautiful Job! A BIG thank you to our volunteers!
• Field Trip to LCAS for school age kids was very successful!
• Artwork for the Kennel Sponsorship Program-Great Job Maren!
• Backdrop Artwork for KLSR (Pet of the Week) - Done by local school children.
• Landscaping/Gardening.  Thanks Cressie for the beautiful plants and flowers.

LCAS would like to thank the staff at the Shelter Animal Resource Alliance (S.A.R.A.'s Treasures) for their continued countless hours of love and labor given to the animals at our shelter.  SARA's is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist and advocate for shelter animals.  Dedicated SARA volunteers regularly transport cats from LCARA to other facilities for a second chance at adoption.  SARA's Treasures is a thrift shop that helps support their efforts in providing life-saving programs for the animals.  If you have items you would like to donate to SARA's, you can reach them by calling 607-8892 or visiting them at 871 River Rd., Eugene.  With donations and proceeds from the thrift shop, SARA locates temporary housing, provides veterinary care, and loving responsible homes for the pets.
