JOINT MEETING/LANE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
WESTFIR CITY COUNCIL, and OAKRIDGE CITY COUNCIL

GREENWATERS PARK COMMUNITY BUILDING - 5:30 p.m.

In attendance were Jerry Rust, Ellie Dumdi and Marie Frazier, Lane County Commissioners. Bud Ferrigno, Peggy Wagner, Jackie Terral, Diane Tonkin, Sam Gage, Westfir City Council and Jerry Love Westfir Public Works.  Ruth Hays, Don Hampton, Terry Callahan, Sue Hugill, Richard Culbertson and Ken Songer from the Oakridge City Council.   Wes Hare Oakridge City Administrator.

Commissioner Jerry Rust called the Lane County Commissioners to order.

Mayor Culbertson called the Oakridge City Council to order.  Mayor Diane Tonkin called the Westfir City Council to order.

At this time, everyone introduced themselves.

Discussion and comments were heard about the field trip to the Bald Knob Industrial Park.  Also the trip to the Westfir covered bridge and dam.  ODFW Fish Biologist, Mr. Ziller provided the background and proposal for removal of the dam. Craig Starr provided other staff comments.

Commissioner Frazier commented on the transportation Issue.

Considerable discussion was heard on the budget for the Willamette Activity Center.

County Administrator Bill Van Vactor presented to the Commissioners requesting an Order to fund a temporary not to exceed 1040 hours position, funded by existing funds, for an Office Assistant position in the Florence Justice Court.  Ordered that a temporary not to exceed 1040 hours position be established for an Office Assistant position in the Florence Justice Court.

MOTION by Commissioner Dumdi, seconded by Commissioner Frazier to approve Order No. 94-4-7-1/In the Matter of Establishing a Temporary Not to Exceed 1040 Hours Position, Funded by Existing Funds for an Office Assistant Position in the Florence Justice Court.  Motion passed.

Commissioner Jerry Rust adjourned the meeting.
