Commissioners' Conference Room - following HACSA
Chair Ellie Dumdi presided with Steve Cornacchia, Jerry Rust and Cindy Weeldreyer present. Bobby Green excused. Beth McAllister, Recording Secretary.
1. Approval of Minutes: November 9, 1994, 10:30 a.m.
MOTION: Approval of the minutes. Rust MOVED, Weeldreyer SECONDED.
2. REPORT/Semi-Annual Board of Health Report.
Rob Rockstroh stated that there is a lot of good information in this report. He noted that Hepatitis A is still a big issue and is rather difficult to control. He remarked that it is cyclic and is on the up cycle now. He stated that the Public Health department is the largest recipient of general fund money and that the nurses were hit the hardest because of this. He stated that they are currently redesigning this program.
Cornacchia stated that he is adamant that Health and Human Services not pre-pay the providers until the contracts have been approved. Weeldreyer remarked that she is pleased to see their movement towards a team approach when dealing with grants. Rockstroh affirmed that the team approach is working well in his department.
MOTION: Approval of the Semi-Annual Board of Health Report. Rust MOVED, Weeldreyer SECONDED. VOTE: 4-0.
