BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS' REGULAR MEETING
Harris Hall Main Floor - 1:30 p.m.

Vice Chair Steve Cornacchia presided with Commissioners Ellie Dumdi; Bobby Green, Sr.; and Peter Sorenson present. Chair Cindy Weeldreyer excused. County Administrator Bill Van Vactor, County Counsel Stephen Vorhes, and Recording Secretary C. Daniel Lindstrom were also present.

1. PUBLIC HEARINGS

a. SECOND READING AND PUBLIC HEARING/Ordinance No. PA 2001/In the Matter of Naming a Private Road Hollis Lane (16-04-31 & 17-04-06). (NBA & PM 8/13/97)

County Surveyor Robert Ezell described the application by the City of Eugene to name a private road for Dean Orlando John Hollis as an honor for his public service. He noted that all appropriate legal notices regarding the naming and public hearing had been given.

Commissioner Cornacchia opened the public hearing, noted there was no one present wishing to testify, and closed the public hearing.

MOTION: Approval of the naming of the road.

Dumdi MOVED, Sorenson SECONDED. The secretary polled the Board. VOTE: 4 Ayes.

b. PUBLIC HEARING AND ORDER 97-9-3-17/In the Matter of Certification of Final Assessments for Improvements to 6th Street South From Johnson Avenue to the I-5 Interchange (NBA & PM 8.13.97).

Real Property Manager Donald Maddox stated that the public hearing and order were the final steps in certifying the assessments in question. He said that two telephone inquiries about the assessments had been received, that owners of all properties involved had been notified, that most of the properties involved were owned by individual residents, and that parcels larger than two acres were in the process of being developed.

Cornacchia opened the public hearing, noted there was no one present wishing to testify, and closed the public hearing.

MOTION: Approval of the Order.

Dumdi MOVED, Green SECONDED. VOTE: 4-0.

There being no further business, Cornacchia adjourned the meeting at 1:40 p.m.
