Public Safety Coordinating Council 
PURPOSE Develops and recommends plans designed to prevent criminal involvement by youth, provides for coordination of community-wide services involving treatment, education, employment and intervention strategies aimed at crime prevention, coordinates local juvenile justice policy.
MEETS Bi-monthly (Jan,Mar,May,Sep,Nov), 3rd Thursday of the month
MEMBERSHIP Up to 20, selected by the Board of Commissioners (see Lane Manual 3.522 for details).
TERM 4 years, ending December 31

Note: You may submit an application at any time. Applications are kept for 12 months from the date the application is received and will be considered should a vacancy occur within that time frame. The Public Safety Coordinating Council is a Mandated Committee. Mandated Committees are an advisory body to the Board of Commissioners, appointed by the Board. the existence charge and sometimes the composition of the committee is controlled by the enabling legislation. (Lane Manual 3.505).
