This Committee brings a broad diversity of expertise and experience to the budget-making process and makes award-winning project recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) for funding.
Every fiscal year the EDSC funds various workforce training programs, distance learning programs, business retention and expansion, lean managment training, telecommunications research and implementation, public works improvement projects and numerous other opportunities to develop Lane County's greater economy.
The Lane County economy is regionally and nationally competitve in several industry clusters, including high-tech manufacturing and biotechnology, secondary wood products manufacturing and sports equipment manufacturing. This committee of decision-makers is committed to allocating funding for the most successful projects.
