Spaying or neutering your pet is an important part of responsible pet ownership.
To assist low-income residents with the cost of caring for their pets, Lane County Animal Services (LCAS) is offering spay/neuter vouchers to qualified applicants.
This program is supported, in part, through license fees. Funding also comes from private donations. The more funding LCAS is able to put into the program the more it will be able to offer.
How do I Apply?
Applications are available at LCAS, 3970 West 1st Ave, in Eugene or by Clicking Here. Please note - you will need to submit proof of income with your application.
Will I Qualify?
Applications are reviewed to determine whether or not a pet owner meets the low-
income guidelines provided by the Oregon Employment Department.
LCAS staff will notify you within 14 days to let you know whether you have been approved or denied. If approved, information regarding participating veterinary clinics will be sent to your home along with the spay/neuter vouchers.

A little History
The Animal Regulation Task Force report submitted to the Lane County Board of Commissioners in November 2003. The Board approved a proposal that dedicates five percent of animal license revenue towards addressing the problem of animal overpopulation in Lane County.
LCAS created the program, which offers up to four, $25 vouchers per year, per household to assist low-income Lane County residents with the spaying or neutering of their dogs and cats.
