Medicare Retiree - County Paid
2016 Medicare Open Enrollment
October 15th - December 7th, 2015

What is Medicare Open Enrollment?
Each year Medicare holds Open Enrollment.  During this time you have a chance to make changes to your Medicare Supplemental coverage for the following year.

Any changes you make will take effect on January 1, 2016

In addition, Lane County is required to obtain annual proof of your enrollment in a Medicare Supplemental plan and the monthly cost of that program prior to issuing a premium reimbursement for the following year.  Federal IRS codes set this requirement as proof that the funds are not income. In January, Lane County will send you the forms to request the reimbursement.
