RIS provides support for partner agency and RIS servers. Services include disk backup services for data stored on servers, and emergency recovery services for the servers themselves. RIS offers support for special purpose database and web servers as well as for standard file and print server configurations. RIS also supports a public FTP server for exchange of files with external organizations. Client-owned servers hosted at the RIS Data Center are set-up by RIS personnel, installed in server racks, housed in air-conditioned facilities with controlled access, and provided with operational support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
