Notice is hereby given that the Lane County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on March 12, 2013.  The public hearing will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Harris Hall, Lane County Public Service Building-Courthouse, 125 E. 8th Ave, Eugene, OR 97401-2926, on the following application:

PROPOSAL: ORDINANCE NO. PA 1298/In the Matter of Co-Adopting Amended Junction City Comprehensive Plan for Areas Outside the City Limits to Include Wetland Inventory and Related Economic, Social, Environmental, and Energy Analysis, and Text and Map Amendments; to Expand Urban Growth Boundary for Commercial, Park, and Residential Land Needs; to Re-Designate Land from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential; to Include Supporting Documents (Economic Opportunities Analysis, Residential Buildable Lands Inventory, Housing Needs Analysis); and to Delete Outdated Plan Text; Adopting Corresponding Amendments to Official Lane County Rural Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Maps; and Adopting Savings and Severability Clauses.

 

The application is subject to the applicable criteria for a Major Amendment to the Rural Comprehensive Plan found in Lane Code 12.050 (Method of Adoption and Amendment) and Lane Code 16.400 (Rural Comprehensive Plan Amendments).

 

The application, all documents and evidence relied upon by the applicant, and the applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost at the Land Management Division.  A copy of the staff report will be available for inspection at no cost at least one week prior to the public hearing.  Copies of these materials will be provided at a reasonable cost upon request.

 

Written comments regarding the application may be submitted to Lane County Land Management Division, 3050 North Delta Highway, Eugene, OR 97408, or may be submitted during the public hearing on March 12, 2013.  Written comments will be accepted until the close of the public hearing.  Oral statements and testimony must be given at the public hearing.

 

Failure of an issue to be raised in a hearing or in person or in writing, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the Approval Authority who conducts the hearing an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals on that issue.  For additional information, please contact Sarah Wilkinson, Associate Planner, at 541/682-6932.
