Covenants and Easements 

These covenant, easement and declaration forms are required prior to issuance of building permits for certain structures.  You will be informed during the land use approval if one of these forms is required prior to issuance of your building permit .  Some of these forms are required to be completed as Conditions of Approval for Special Use Permits. 

If you are unsure if a covenant or easement document is required, please contact the Planner on Duty at (541) 682-3577 or visit the Land Management Division office Monday through Friday between 9 am and 1 pm, located at 125 E 8th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon.

Please do not record one of these documents until you have spoken with Lane County Land Management staff.

The RECORDING INSTRUCTIONS explain the process of how these documents shall be recorded at Lane County Deeds and Records.  The Property Owner should keep the original recorded copy for their records and provide Lane County Land Management with only a copy of the recorded document.
