The Lane County Sheriff’s Office supports a job program for offenders under the supervision of Parole and Probation Services. The jobs program, known as the Day Reporting Center has been in operation since 2002. The center provides offenders with daily job leads as well as offering assistance in establishing email accounts, completing job applications, resumes, interviewing skills or referrals to other agencies. In 2009, the Day Reporting Center assisted 1,480 offenders with their job search needs. In addition to offering job search services, the Center also serves as a step in our sanction continuum by offering increased structure through daily offender reporting.
