Lane County Human Services Commission
Management Information System

Background and Purpose

OPUS Management Information System  is a collaborative project of Oregon Housing and Community Services, partner agencies including Lane County Human Services Commission and partner sub-grantees. OPUS enables social service providers to collect uniform client information over time. This system is essential to efforts to streamline services for homeless clients and clients who are at-risk of homelessness.

Through OPUS, program participants benefit from improved coordination in and between agencies, informed advocacy efforts, and policies that result in targeted services.

Analysis of information gathered through OPUS is critical to accurately calculate the size, characteristics, and needs of the populations we serve; these data are necessary to service and systems planning and advocacy.  Lane County, the State of Oregon and the local service providers who use OPUS agree to share responsibility for the proper deployment, maintenance, sustainability, and operation of OPUS.
