Requesting an Interpreter

Interpreters can be made available to an individual who needs assistance to attend arraignment or trial at the court.  The court will need to know when, where, and what language is needed and will need time to make arrangements to have an interpreter available. The court must be notified as far in advance as possible, and your arraignment may need to be rescheduled to make an interpreter available.

There are Spanish language interpreters available twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.  If you have not been cited into court at that arraignment time, please contact the court in person, by fax or postal mail to have your arraignment date changed.

Sign interpreters are available for the hearing impaired.

Other languages may be set for arraignment by a conference call with a certified court interpreter for that language.

To schedule an interpreter, please phone the court at 682-2095.
