The Tax-Forclosed Real Property program provides for management of tax-foreclosed real property. The program conducts appraisal and analysis for the disposition or retention of County tax-foreclosed real property throughout Lane County; and prepares and negotiates all leases, easements, and licenses to use and personal services contracts involved in the management of tax-foreclosed real property.
The Tax-Forclosed Real Property program evaluates tax-foreclosed property for potential of hazardous waste cleanup. Parcels of real property for are prepared for periodic foreclosed property sales, in addition to the preparation of sales of surplus parcels and repurchases by previous owners throughout the year.
The Tax-Forclosed Real Property program provides support services to other departments, public utilities, government agencies, and the general public on all matters concerning tax-foreclosed real property. This program is totally self-supporting from revenues generated by the sale of the properties it manages.
