River Road/Santa Clara

Lane County Public Works will begin the first round of leaf pickup in the River Road/Santa Clara area starting on Monday, November 8. County crews will begin on the north side of Maxwell Road between River Road and Northwest Expressway working north to Beacon Drive West. They will move to the east side of River Road, starting at Beacon Drive East and proceed south to Division Avenue.


It is expected the County’s first round of leaf pickup will begin the week of November 15.  Springfield residents can call the County Leaf Pickup Program Hotline at 541-682-8565 (updated 5 p.m., Fridays) or check the Internet at for a schedule of pick-ups. It is best if all leaves can be prepared and placed during the weekend prior to November 15. Leaves piled longer than a week can get scattered and plug storm sewer systems.

City of Springfield

The City of Springfield will begin its service the week of November 29. Place medium-sized bags of leaves at the curbside, not in the street, the Monday of the week your neighborhood is scheduled for pickup. Please be sure that the bags contain ONLY leaves. City crews will make two passes throughout city limits according to the following schedule:
