What:  Youth Services MLK Education Center Harvest Sale

When:  Noon to 3 p.m., Friday, October 14

Where:  The sale will be held in the front lobby of the John Serbu Youth Campus at 2727 MLK Blvd., Eugene.


You’re invited! Come out and support our students and get some tasty fall harvest! Pumpkins, gourds, decorative corn, tomatoes and other seasonal produce will be on sale. All produce is grown and cultivated on site by students in the MLK Ed Center’s Horticulture Program. In addition to the sale, Youth Services MLK Culinary Arts Program will be offering yummy treats.

About the Martin Luther King Jr. Education Center
The Martin Luther King Jr. Education Center provides opportunities for students to develop skills for success in school, at work, and in the community. Serving middle and high school students who have an active case with the Lane County Department of Youth Services (DYS), the program is collaboration between DYS and the Lane Education Service District. The center provides services and support to juvenile offenders who have experienced multiple interruptions in traditional school placement.

In addition to providing education support, the program also offers job skills education in the vocation areas of culinary arts, technology, horticulture and medical technician.
