Prepare for Unpredictable Weather

Lane County Emergency Management advises that residents should stay vigilant for unpredictable weather.  If able to do so, ensure ample supply of emergency water for family and pets, ensure a second source of heat, have on hand a 3-day supply of food, refill medications.

Please check on anyone you may know who is elderly, with special needs or without power to see if they need your help or the help of emergency responders.

With rivers running high and the recent snow pack, a warming trend could cause flooding to occur.  Residents in flood prone areas are advised to move personal property and animals to high ground.

Travel only if necessary.  Stay away from downed lines and report to local utilities.  Watch for falling trees and limbs.  Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Do not call 911 unless there is a life threatening emergency.
