LCAS Holds Adopt-A-Thon
Contacts: Tom Howard or Kylie Belachaikovsky, Lane County Animal Services, 682-2356
Where can you go to get custom pet portraits, baked goods, dog training, a car wash and take home a new pet?
Lane County Animal Services.
From noon to 5 p.m., this Sunday May 18, LCAS will be holding a fun-filled Adopt-a-Thon. This adoption event will be held in the front parking lot of LCAS (3970 W. First Ave., Eugene), and will feature a fun, festive atmosphere for the whole family.
In addition to meeting adoptable animals, community members will have access to professional pet grooming, a car wash, an on-site dog trainer offering advice, a bake sale, custom pet portraits, and Spot Magazine will be photographing pets for its annual photo contest.
To preview the adoptable pets, check out LCAS' Petfinder page at http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/OR90.html.
LCAS is depending on a large number of adoptions this weekend in preparation for closing the shelter without euthanizing any animals. LCAS is scheduled to close down operations on May 29 due to budget shortfalls.
