Major Road Construction Report for Lane County

Major road construction for the week of June 15, 2008. Schedule is subject to change due to weather delays.

EUGENE
Bushnell Lane:Asphalt overlay construction from the intersection of Maxwell Road, northerly, to Bushnell Lane East. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary. Expect occasional road closures and detours.

Bushnell Lane East: Asphalt overlay construction from the intersection of Berwin Lane, easterly, to Bushnell Lane East. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary. Expect occasional road closures and detours.

Briggs Hill Road: Asphalt overlay from the intersection of Spencer Creek, westerly, to milepost 2.5. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and pilot cars, as necessary. Expect up to 20 minute delays.

27th Avenue from Amazon Parkway to Jefferson Street: Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures and lane shifts. On-street parking will be prohibited in areas. Work may include utility adjustments, traffic loop installation, and striping.

Chad Drive from the East End of Chad to Coburg Road: Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures and lane shifts. Two-way traffic will be allowed at all times. Work may include utility adjustments, traffic loop installation, and striping.

Chambers Street from Railroad Boulevard to West Eighth Avenue: Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures and lane shifts. Two-way traffic will be allowed at all times. Expect minor delays. Work may include traffic loop installation, and striping.

Barger Drive from Terry Street to Primrose Street: Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures and lane shifts. Two-way traffic will be allowed at all times. Expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Work may include digout repairs, top lift paving, and utility adjustments.

Barger Drive from Highway 99 to Altimont Street: Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures and lane shifts. Two-way traffic will be allowed at all times. Expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Work may include digout repairs, top lift paving, and utility adjustments.

Courthouse District Transportation Improvements Phase 2: Intermittent lane closures for westbound and eastbound traffic on Mill Street and Broadway will occur to repair existing street pavement. 

Legacy Wastewater Interceptor Project - Phase 2:All construction is located off public streets and right-of-ways but construction traffic will be apparent on South Terry Street, Roosevelt Boulevard from Beltline to Terry Street and Royal Avenue from Terry Street to 1/2 mile to the west. Watch for truck traffic entering and leaving the roadway on Royal Avenue 1/2 mile west of Terry Street.

COTTAGE GROVE
London Road:
Bridge construction at milepost 13. Expect intermittent delays with a one lane detour around construction area. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary.

Sears Road: Asphalt overlay construction from Row River Road, northerly, to Saginaw Road. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and pilot cars, as necessary. Expect up to 20 minute delays.

SPRINGFIELD
Bob Straub Parkway:
S. 57th Street, Mt Vernon Road, Brand ‘S’ and Jasper Road. Expect construction traffic and minimal delays at intersections of above streets and the new Bob Straub Parkway. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers as necessary.

VENETA
Territorial Highway:
Road construction into Assisted Housing Project. Construction includes road intersection onto Territorial Road and pipe installation within Territorial Highway. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary.

Bolton Hill Road: Road construction and pipe installation from Territorial Highway, westerly to Dogwood. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary. Expect occasional road closures and detours.

FOX HOLLOW AREA
Christensen Road:
Chipsealing from milepost 0.00 to milepost 1.04

DEERHORN AREA
Deerhorn Road:
Chipsealing from milepost 7.76 to milepost 9.90

CHESHIRE AREA
Washburn Lane:
Chipsealing from milepost 0.00 to milepost 2.51

Washburn Lane (Y): Chipsealing from milepost 0.00 to milepost 0.03
