public service building experiencing power loss
Contact: Lane County Administrator Jeff Spartz, 682-4203
Lane County Government is experiencing a power problem in the Public Service Building (PSB), affecting lighting and computers. Community members continue to have access to services within the PSB but assistance may be slow over the next few days as the situation is resolved.
The power loss began Monday morning. Offices located on the Eighth Avenue side are currently impacted by the power loss. Offices located on Seventh Avenue side are powered in addition to work areas located in bottom level of the PSB and the Courthouse. Dispatch and RIS will continue to be powered and the HVAC system is running.
David Suchart, Management Services Director, has ordered a replacement circuit breaker. The earliest delivery date is tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 6. The contractor will need to do the installation after hours.
Many employees have been relocated to other work areas and others are working off site or are taking time management.
