Participate in the "Cat Days of Summer" With LCAS
Contacts: Lane County Animal Services Supervisor Tom Howard, 682-2356; Rochelle Jones, Lane County Animal Services analyst, 682-3013
It's not the "dog days of summer" anymore - instead you can celebrate the "Cat Days of Summer" adoption event with Lane County Animal Services!
Beginning today through the month of August, LCAS is offering kittens for just $45 each during the Cat Days of Summer adoption event. This bargain includes the spay or neuter surgery, vaccines, micro-chipping, a free vet exam, and much more.
"These are beautiful, playful healthy babies, but what they need most is a permanent home," said Kylie Belachaikovsky, LCAS volunteer coordinator. "LCAS is committed to saving every kitten that has entered our cattery program, even the ones that come to us sick or injured. If you cannot adopt, we are also currently recruiting for foster families that can temporarily house at-risk kittens for the shelter."
Wonderful kittens and cats of every breed and color are waiting to be adopted.
"Pets provide so much joy to families," said Tom Howard, LCAS supervisor. "LCAS wants to make it very affordable to adopt a kitten that has already had all those medical services that many people find cost-prohibitive. If you come over to LCAS, we know you will fall in love with a new buddy."
Can’t adopt but want to help?
