ELECTRONICS RECYCLING PROGRAM
Fees for electronics recycling apply only to businesses and nonprofits with 11 or more employee, with one exception:A fee of $35 will apply to anybody with a floor standing copier or similar sized item due to the extra labor required to handle it. For other options in Lane County, Click here.
Begining January 1, 2010, it is against state law to dispose of TVs, computers, monitors and laptops in the garbage. This Oregon Law, created by the 2007 Lesgislature with the passage of HB2626, requires manufacturers to fund free recycling of those electronics that can damage human health and the environment when disposed in landfills. Lane County participates in the state-wide collection program for E-Cycles, offering FREE recycling at five Lane County's transfer sites. Anybody with 7 items or fewer can take them to

Computers, Monitors, Laptops and TVs are banned from the landfill and are recyclable for free at the above locations. Other electronics such as VCRs, DVD players, video game units, phone related equipment, printers and other computer related equipment, are not banned from landfills, but are included in our collection program as a service to our citizens.
Anybody with 8 or more units will need to either come in with 7 or less at a time, or make an appointment by calling 682-3111.

For Disposal Appointments: Please make sure you give an accurate inventory of the items you will be bringing in when you make the appointment, so collection technicians will be ready to receive your materials.
Businesses with 12 or more monitors/TVs, or more than 20 cpu's (towers) must bring them pre-palletized and shrink wrapped or they must come with personnel to assist in the unloading. These customers must provide an accurate count of the materials that they bring us when they make the appointment.
After you make the appointment, drop off your materials at the appointed time at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at the Glenwood Central Receiving Station . Once inside the gate turn left as signs direct.
