With your help Lane County is Picking Up!

The purpose of the Adopt-A-Road

program is to provide citizens of Lane

County an opportunity to control litter

and therefore improve the appearance of

the County road system in accordance

with Oregon Laws and safety guidelines.

Are you or your group looking for a way to serve your community? Do you see someone litter and wish there was something you could do about it?

Well, Lane County's Adopt-a-Road Program may be for you!

We give citizens the opportunity to help keep Lane County's roads clean and make a difference in their community by "adopting" a stretch of road and removing litter at least two times a year.

AS A VOLUNTEER, YOU WILL RECEIVE:

A safety orientation designed to heighten your awareness of safety issues associated with performing work on county roads in traffic.
The use of safety equipment including safety vests, litter bags, first aid kits, litter pickers, and road warning signs.
Two Adopt-a-Road signs located at either end of the adopted road section recognizing the adopting organization.
The opportunity to contribute to community beautification
Recognition for a job well done.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE?

Age 18 or older
1, 2, or 3 year commitment
Pick up litter at least 2 times per year
Watch safety training video
Submit a complete application
