Lane County Department of Public Works has created an Herbicide Information phone line for the public to use regarding planned herbicide applications by County crews for roadside vegetation management. We are providing this service to inform concerned citizens about proposed herbicide applications along County roadways in advance of herbicide applications.

HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS

When you call the phone line you will hear a message that provides you with information regarding planned herbicide applications by County crews along County maintained rights-of-way.

The recording will provide you with locations of planned herbicide applications, listed by County road name and approximate mileleage along the road.
You will receive information on planned dates of any proposed herbicide applications, with a minimum of seven days advance notice.
You will recieve information describing the reason for the proposed herbicide application.
You will receive information on the type of herbicide proposed for application, listed by product name.

Lane County Department of Public Works will attempt when possible to maintain the planned dates for herbicide applications, but weather and scheduling may alter planned activities. Seven days advance notice will be provided at a minimum, but actual applications may occur after the seven day notice period based upon optimal weather conditions or scheduling conflicts.
