THE VISITING PROCESS
Prior To Your Scheduled Visit:

For inmates to receive visitation the following must be completed prior to the scheduled visit:

• INMATE MUST BE CLASSIFIED:  Classification determines the inmate’s privilege level and allows staff to determine the scheduled time of the visit. The classification process can take up to three days.
  
  
• INMATE MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT VISITOR REQUEST FORM:   Visitor Request forms are submited to the inmates housing officer and are entered into the system Monday through Friday. Visitor Request lists can be updated by the inmate every four weeks. The inmate needs the following items to successfully complete the form:  Full Name of visitor, Date of Birth, Current Address, Telephone, and relation to the inmate.  Please send this information to the inmate via US Mail if you feel that the offender does not have this information.

You are encouraged to call the jail (Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. excluding holidays) at 541-682-2101 every week as the time and day of the visit can change.

Visitors must arrive at the visiting check-in area 30 minutes prior to the scheduled visit time.  To ensure we can accommodate each inmate's visitors it’s important to leave the visitor booth quickly once the phones are turned off at the end of the visit.  Failure to do so may result in a loss of future visiting privileges.

VISITING RULES AND REGULATIONS
During Your Scheduled Visit:

Any visitor who is found in violation of any of these rules will be penalized by a loss of visitation privileges.

• IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR EVERY VISIT:­  All adult visitors must have a CURRENT state issued ID, Drivers’ License, or Passport. Visitors under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or other authorized person throughout the duration of the visit. Minors MUST also have an original birth certificate and/or medical card with their parent/legal guardian’s name and child’s name on it in order to visit each time. Minors between 15 and 18 years old must also have a CURRENT State issued ID, or Student Body Card.
  
  
• SUPERVISION OF MINOR CHILDREN:  Children must be supervised and kept under control during the entire visit. The Reception Officer may refuse entry or request immediate departure of children and the accompanying parent or guardian if, in the officer’s judgment, their behavior is disruptive to personnel, other visitors or to the efficiency or safety of operations in any way.
  
  
• ALL VISITORS MUST CLEAR THE METAL DETECTOR:  Unless a medical card listing a legitimate reason for not clearing the metal detector is presented, and/or otherwise authorized by the Reception Officer. Pockets will be emptied before going through the metal detector.  All items listed below will be disposed of or locked up.
• • No writing materials (i.e. pen, pencil, paper, notebooks), electronic devices (i.e. personal computers, cell phones, pagers) or tobacco-related products (cigarettes, matches, or lighters).
  • No sharp objects (knives, fingernail clippers, collapsible scissors, etc.), weapons or ammunition.
  • No food, drinks or smoking are permitted in the reception lobby, visiting waiting room or visiting booths.
  • Pornographic material will not be permitted.
    
    
• ALLOWED ITEMS IN THE VISITING AREA:
• • One plastic baby bottle and/or pacifier, one diaper and one blanket.
  • One small toy (no moving parts, removable parts, or noisemakers).
  • Photos and/or reading material that have been cleared by the Reception Officer.
    
    
• VISITORS MUST BE PROPERLY ATTIRED:  
• • If the clothing is unduly suggestive, tight fitting, or creates a security hazard, the visitor will be refused. (i.e. Persons wearing tube-tops, wrap around or halter-type clothing will be refused.)
  • If the clothing, hairstyle, insignias or other paraphernalia is associated with gangs, the visitor will be refused.
  • If dresses, skirts, jumpers, culottes and pants are more than two inches above the kneecap, the visitor will be refused. (Dresses/tops with plunging/low-cut necklines, spaghetti straps, and bib-overalls are not allowed.)
  • See-through clothing, including sheer fabrics and loose weave, and/or other clothing that exposes an undue amount of flesh (e.g., exposing chest, back, thighs or mid-section) will not be allowed.
  • Footwear must be worn at all times.
  • Flashing, exposing of oneself or sexually explicit behavior is strictly prohibited andwill result in termination of visit in progress and the loss of future visiting privileges!

Any person supplying contraband into a corrections facility is subject to criminal prosecution in accordance with ORS 162.185.

Any person committing vandalism to this facility is subject to criminal prosecution in accordance with ORS 162.185
