The Forest Work Camp was a 100 bed alternative incarceration program in a rural setting for low risk offenders. The majority of the offenders that were assigned to the FWC were members of work crews. The crews worked on Federal forest projects and provided services to governmental and non-profit agencies throughout Lane County.

The Forest Work Camp was closed in the spring of 2008 due to a lack of funding for its continued operation.
