Lane County Sheriff’s Office – Student/Intern Volunteer Program

The Lane County Sheriff's Office proudly partners with the local university, college and schools as well as homeschool programs to incorporate the training of student/interns. These positions offer practical, on-the-job training for students as well as course credit. Please check with your school program for the credit you can earn while working in many of our volunteer positions.

To maintain our high level of integrity, all student/interns are given a general background check prior to being accepted into the student/intern program.

The student/intern positions available are through Adult Corrections, Police Services and the Office of the Sheriff. Please listen to the volunteer positions in the automated list for a possible fit for you. We would consider a position proposal if not listed.
