a. SECOND READING AND PUBLIC HEARING/Ordinance PA 1170/Amending the Rural Comprehensive Plan to Redesignate Land From "Forest" to "Agricultural" and Rezoning That Land From "F-2/Impacted Forest Lands" to "E-30/Exclusive Farm Use;" and Adopting Savings and Severability Clauses (File PA 00-5810; Sullivan).
Jerry Kendall, Land Management, explained the property is 69 acres and is located outside of Vida, about 26 miles east of Springfield. He noted it has a 50 plus acre filbert orchard that is over 60 years old. He said it was a simple plan amendment zone change from one resource designation to another to cure an apparent error. He added the owners weren’t able to cure the mistake under the errors and omissions window during the mid-eighties. He said there were no objections from DLCD or from any party. He stated that staff recommended this request.
Commissioner Bill Dwyer opened up the Public Hearing. There being no one signed up to speak, he closed the Public Hearing.
