CCF Diversity Statement

The Lane County Commission on Children and Families advocates for policies and practices which promote consistent acknowledgement and appreciation of the culture and value systems of all children, youth, and families.

These policies and practices recognize the differences in cognitive and literacy levels, gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion, race, ethnicity, economics, language and communication skills, physical abilities, and geographic location.

 >    About

The Lane County Department of Children and Families (DCF) protects, supports, and nurtures health and safety in all children and families by connecting, energizing, and mobilizing the community.  Although the department is small, it has a big impact in motivating our entire community to think and act protectively in support of all our children.

The DCF works in conjunction with the Lane County Commission on Children and Families (CCF), an 18 member commission appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.  The Commission is charged by state statute to advise Board of County Commissioners on children, youth and family policies and to develop a comprehensive plan for the county to foster a wellness system.
