West Nile Virus Information

On August 13, 2004, a lab documented the first case of West Nile Virus in Oregon. The sample came from a dead crow found in Malheur County which is 12 miles from the Idaho border.

Lane County Public Health is not currently collecting or testing dead birds (or dead mosquitoes).
