Lane County, Oregon   eGovernment

About Us
On Wednesday, February 27, 2002 the Chief Executive Officers of ten Lane County public agencies and government jurisdictions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) creating a Diversity and Human Rights Consortium (DHRC).  The purpose of the DHRC is to share information and coordinate resources of member agencies to advance diversity and further human rights in the local area.

This Memorandum of Understanding takes into consideration the continuing work that needs to be done.  It will address diversity and human rights issues within each agency and within the communities they serve.  Agencies will work together by sharing knowledge and resources in order to foster a more welcoming and hospitable environment.

Reflecting the needs of the changing population in this new century, the DHRC is committed to diversity and inclusion.  The consortium will raise the level of expectation and accountablity by establishing specific goals, action items and measurable outcomes.
