Lane Community College (LCC) and Lane County Public Health (LCPH), in cooperation with local community health partners, are hosting a free health promotion fair to promote the health and wellness of our community.

A wide range of health services and educational materials will be available to LCC students and community members free of charge, including free flu vaccines provided by LCPH and administered by LCC nursing students.

“Events such as this are an important part of our effort to remove barriers to critical, preventative health services for community members who struggle with issues of access,” said Lane County Senior Health Officer Pat Leudtke, MD.

In addition to free flu vaccines, the health fair will offer:

  • Free health screenings (Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure/Heart Rate/Oxygen Saturation, BMI/Waist Circumference)
  • Free Chair Massage
  • Free Fitness and Lifestyle activities
  • Oregon Health Plan registration (provided by Whitebird Clinic)

Lane County Public Health and LCC, along with the future health care providers of Lane County, care about the public and making sure everyone has access to preventative health services. Lane Community College aims to make this an annual event.

The Health Promotion Fair will be held at the LCC Downtown Campus, 101 W 10th Avenue, on Friday, October 26, and Friday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is open to all community members.
