Families for Depression Awareness helps families recognize and cope with
depressive disorders. Includes messages of hope, including a
question-and-answer with the late author William Styron, who wrote

The suicide bereavement support group provides a compassionate and caring
place for people to share their pain from the loss of someone to suicide.
Facilitators have been trained by the American Foundation for Suicide
Prevention, and have experienced first hand the loss of someone to suicide.

Mental Health Crisis Response Program

The Mental Health Crisis Response Program is designed to assist
families and children under the age of 18 in a mental health related
crisis. The only eligibility requirements are: 1) There is a concern
related to a child, 2) The family lives within Lane County.
Services are provided free of charge to all families in Lane County.
Clients need not be a LaneCare member to receive services. Crisis

RESPONSE is a comprehensive high school-based program that
increases awareness about suicide among high school staff,
students and parents. All of the program components are designed
to heighten sensitivity to depression and suicidal ideation, as
well as offer response procedures to refer a student at risk for
suicide.
