A Special Election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 for approximately 39,000 voters within the following districts:
City of Eugene Ward 7
Siuslaw School District #97J
Pleasant Hill Rural Fire Protection District
Goshen Rural Fire Protection District
Proposed Pleasant Hill Goshen Rural Fire Protection District
River Road Parks & Recreation District
Only voters residing in the above districts will receive a ballot for the November Special Election.

Here are the important dates for the November Special Election:
- Candidate Filing began Saturday, July 29, 2023
- The deadline to refer a measure for publication was Friday, August 18, 2023
- The deadline to file or withdraw a measure or candidate filing was Thursday, September 7, 2023
• New Voter Registration Deadline. The deadline to register to vote and participate in the November election was October 17, 2023.
• Current Voter Deadline to Update. You may update your voter registration through 8 p.m. on Election Day and receive a ballot.
• Ballots were mailed to:
o Military and overseas voters on September 22, 2023;
o Out-of-state voters on October 9, 2023; and
o Local voters on October 20, 2023
• Ballot boxes opened on October 20, 2023
• The last day our office mailed ballots was November 2, 2023. After this date, ballots must be picked up in person at Lane County Elections.
• Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023
• Election results will be certified to the Secretary of State on December 14, 2023
