Pediatric Services

Welcome to CHC Pediatrics! We are devoted to providing coordinated and compassionate care to children of diverse backgrounds and ages - babies, children, teens and young adults - we are here for you. 
Our board certified pediatric providers care for your child at birth as well as for all their sick and well care check visits up to age 21. CHC pediatric care teams includes medical providers, nurses, patient care coordinators and medical support staff. We also provide on-site and telephone assistance with Oregon Health Plan enrollment.
We have two pediatric offices conveniently located in the Eugene-Springfield area, with accessible parking and near LTD bus routes.
Getting your child into the office is easy at CHC Pediatrics. Registration packets and forms are available online so you can fill them out at your own pace. We have same day appointments and an after hours on-call provider to help if your child is sick at night or on the weekend.

Our Mission: To provide personal and comprehensive pediatric health care to help raise healthy children who reach their highest potential.

Elianne Casta�eda, MD

Dr. Castañeda graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and was awarded her medical degree from the Creighton  University School of Medicine. She completed a residency at the Nicklaus Children's Hospital. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

Dr. Casatañeda joined our practice in 2018. She grew up in southern California but has moved throughout the country and enjoys experiencing new locations. She loves college football and in her spare time, Dr. Casatañeda likes to curl up to a good historical fiction book. 

Eric Colgrove, MD

Dr. Colgrove graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where he completed his medical school and pediatric training. His primary interest is in general pediatrics and has a special affinity for and training in nutrition (“Food as Medicine”) as well as genetics. He spent his first four years after residency on the Navajo reservation- a unique and deeply meaningful experience for him. Dr. Colgrove is board-certified and has been practicing pediatric medicine for over 25 years.

Dr. Colgrove moved to Eugene in 2013 and is married to his wife who grew up in a small village in Kenya. They have two wonderful children in college in Seattle. The past three years of both his personal and professional lives have been transformed by learning about nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine. Applying this new-found science has brought new insights in the understanding and application of disease prevention and health promotion.

Dr. Colgrove joined our practice in 2023, and is excited to be at Community Health Centers where he can really focus on the health and happiness of his patients and community.

Dr. Colgrove enjoys learning about other cultures, playing board games, the outdoors and learning about nutrition and cooking.

 

Enyo Dzata, MSN, PNP-BC

Enyo earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Psychological Services from Northwestern University in 2002. She completed her Health Sciences post-baccalaureate from the University of Oregon in 2004 and earned her graduate degree in Nursing from Yale School of Nursing in 2007. Enyo is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Enyo joined our practice in 2016.

Enyo’s first job out of graduate school was in a pediatric specialty clinic in San Francisco for 3.5 years working in pediatric endocrinology treating children with Type 1 & 2 diabetes, growth hormone, thyroid, and pubertal conditions. She went on to take a position at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Endocrine department for 5.5 years treating a rare condition in children that were admitted to this hospital from all over the country and internationally.

Enyo grew up in Oregon and attended high school in Eugene. After marrying and having a baby Enyo and her husband decided to be closer to family. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities and sporting events. Enyo is happy to be back in Oregon, working to keep kids healthy.

Dr. Grenier completed her medical and pediatric training at the Louisiana State University. She has experience in both general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. Dr. Grenier is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. 

Dr. Grenier moved to Oregon in 2001 with her husband and six children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family including five grandchildren.

Dr. Rood earned her medical degree at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Grand Rapids DeVos Children’s Hospital. She serves on the board of the Oregon Pediatric Society. Her areas of specialty are Practice Management and Quality Improvement. Dr. Rood joined our practice in 2022, and is the Associate Medical Director in our Pediatrics Department.
Dr. Rood grew up in the Midwest, but has lived in Eugene for 16 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, and loves cats. In her free time, Dr. Rood enjoys gardening, cooking and needlepoint.

Jodi Yaver, MSN, PNP-BC

Jodi earned master degrees in both Counselor Education and Nursing from the University of Florida/Gainesville.  She is nationally certified in Pediatrics since 2006 through the American Nurse Credentialing Center. Jodi is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is very passionate about pediatric nutrition and enjoys educating her patients. Jodi joined our practice in 2016.

 

Jodi grew up in Brooklyn NY, and has lived in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Asheville, NC, Bend and Portland.  In her free time, she enjoys urban gardening, trail walking and being outdoors.

To schedule a Pediatric New Patient appointment:
1. Call 541-682-3550 to schedule a new patient pediatric appointment.
2. Print the pediatric registration packet and medical history form, and complete at your own pace.
3. Bring the completed packet to your child's scheduled visit.

Springfield Schools Health Center

Springfield Schools Health Center provides health services to all Springfield School District Students. Services provided by the health center include:

  • Common ailments (ear infections, fever, sore throats, rashes, etc.)
  • Immunizations
  • Physicals (sports/work/camp)
  • Medication management (prescriptions, asthma treatments, blood sugar maintenance, etc.)
  • Mental health services
  • Vision screenings
  • Well-baby guidance and parenting support for teen parents

Springfield Schools Health Center is a School Based Health Center. All SBHC’s are required to administer the annual Student Satisfaction Survey to a sample of SBHC clients who are between the ages of 12 and 19. SBHC’s are provided the SPO-required Client Satisfaction Survey forms and instructions for their completion. SBHC’s must submit completed Student Satisfaction Survey data no later than June 30th of each year.

Parental Notification of SBHC Client Satisfaction Survey:

Students between the ages of 12 and 19 who visit the SBHC may be asked to complete an anonymous survey after their visit. The survey asks about the student’s satisfaction and experience at the SBHC, as well as some general questions about their physical and mental health status. Students can refuse to take the survey and this will not affect their ability to get care at the SBHC. A copy of the survey is available at the reception desk. Springfield Schools Health Center es un Centro de Salud Basado en la Escuela (School Based Health Center o SBHC). Todos los SBHC’s tienen el requerimiento de administrar anualmente una Encuesta de Satisfacción del Estudiante a una muestra de clientes de SBHC entre las edades de 12 y 19 años. Los SBHC’s son proporcionados los formularios de la encuesta e instrucciones para ser completados. Los SBHC’s deben entregar las Encuestas de Satisfacción del Estudiante a más tardar el 30 de junio de cada año. 

Notificación para padres sobre la encuesta de satisfacción del cliente de SBHC:

A los estudiantes de entre 12 y 19 años que visitan el Centro de Salud en la Escuela (School Based Health Center o SBHC) se les puede pedir que contesten una encuesta anónima después de su visita. La encuesta hace preguntas generales sobre su estado de salud física y mental. Los estudiantes pueden negarse a participar en la encuesta y esto no afectará su capacidad de recibir atención médica en el SBHC.
