The 
JOBS program is an Employment and Training program designed specifically for families receiving TANF.  A variety of options are available for you no matter where you are in your employment journey.

  • Weekly JOBS Email - Published each Monday by email is an entire job-search workshop distilled into a short, engaging article. Each issue also highlights timely, local resources and events, plus links and attachments for those who wish to dive deeper.
  • Vocational Training - Interested in training in a specific career path?  JOBS has the closest option to FREE short-term vocational training. Examples include: Commercial Truck Driving, Welding, CNA 1 & 2, and more!  You will work one one one with a Vocational Training Specialist who will help you decide on what training is right for you and work with you upon training completion to find employment in your field.
  • Job Search Assistance - Work one-on-one with an Employment Specialist to learn about job search strategies, tips on filling out applications, and assistance with resume building. Discussions also include tapping into the hidden job market, how to write a cover letter, who to use as references, and other helpful hints that help give a edge over the competition for landing that job you want.
  • Work Experience - Not ready for a job search? Start by volunteering to gain experience, build confidence, learn new skills, and develop employer references while maintaining your grant.
  • JOBS Plus- Our team has connections with employers ready to hire through our JOBS Plus program.  Receive on-the-job paid training as an employee with a local business while receiving support from your Employment Specialist who will help you create strategies for success in permanent, long-term employment.
