Online Licensing FAQ's

Where do I find my license number?

Your license number will be on the license tag issued to you by Lane County Animal Services or on the renewal notice sent to you in the mail.  If you need further assistance, please contact Lane County Animal Services at 682-3645 Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

What is the fee to pay online?

If paying with a Visa or MasterCard, you will be charged a $1.75 convenience fee by US Bank.  This  fee is paid directly to US Bank for the use of this service.  The convenience fee will be disclosed to you prior to you completing your payment.  Once you begin the online licensing process, you will have the ability to cancel the payment prior to completing if you do not want to pay the convenience fee.

What information will I need to pay online?

  1. A valid e-mail address
  2. The date your pet received it's rabies vaccine along with the expiration date, veterinary clinic name and phone number.
  3. A valid VISA or Mastercard
  4. Spay or neuter clinic name and phone number.  If you are unsure where your pet was originally spayed or neutered, you may obtain confirmation from your current Vet.
  5. For license renewals you will need your pet’s current license number which can be found on their license tag or on the notice of renewal mailed to you by Lane County Animal Services.
  6. A physical address where the pet resides (does not accept mailing address only)

What if I don't have a rabies certificate?

Your pet must have a current rabies vaccine prior to obtaining a license.  If your pet’s rabies vaccine is current and you have misplaced the receipt/certificate, please contact your Vet to obtain the required information.  If you can not provide proof that your pet's rabies vaccine is current, you will need to obtain one before you can renew or purchase a license.

What if I have moved?

Please contact us directly to update your record.  If you have moved out of our licensing jurisdiction, we will delete your record.  If you have moved and remained in our license jurisdiction, we can simply update your record.  You may contact us by phone, email, or in person.

How will I get my license?
