At the Direction of the Board of Commissioners, the Land Management Division (LMD) has initiated a multi-year work program to update the land use elements of Lane Code. Under the Code Modernization Project (CMP) several separate but related text amendments to Lane Code will be proposed. This website is for amendments to Lane Code 16.244, the Floodplain Combining Zone (/FP, RCP) and to Lane Code 16.271, the Floodplain Combining District (/FP).

The purpose of this website is share information about this project. All documents, meeting notices and other materials related to the project will posted as they are made available.

Staff provided an update to the Board of County Commissioners on December 3, 2019 to inform them on the results of the public engagement events that occurred in October of 2019. The Board directed staff to move forward with the code amendment process, which involves holding public hearing with the Lane County Planning Commission.
