This seven member volunteer committee is made up of two
at-large members and five members appointed by the Board of County
Commissioners (BCC). The committee recommends priorities for current park
needs, potential acquisitions, development projects, and assists in long range
planning for future park programs.
The Lane County Parks Advisory Committee is seeking applicants for the Large Events Oversight Group.

The Large Events Oversight Group will provide recommendations to the Parks Advisory Committee regarding the approval or denial of all large events, and smaller high-impact events, proposed to occur in Lane County parks. This subcommittee of the Parks Advisory Committee will review event applications and apply criteria in order to make these recommendations.
The Parks Advisory Committee will be receiving applications until 3:00 p.m. on April 28, 2017 and reviewing applications at its May 8, 2017 regular meeting.

Large Event Oversight Group members will meet once or twice per year during the winter months, when event organizers are submitting applications.
Members of the Large Events Oversight Group serve staggered two-year terms. Stakeholders may also be reappointed.
