Thank you for your e-newsletter. I am glad that “free” mattress recycling is now available. It definitely will keep mattresses from being deposited in inappropriate locations.
 
BUT, I wish you had mentioned the new “Sales Tax” of $22.50 that buyers pay with each and every new mattress purchased. This sales tax is what allows mattresses to be recycled for “Free.”
 
We just bought a new mattress, paid the sales tax and deposited our old mattress “for free" on a growing stack of mattresses at the Glenwood Transfer Station.
