Welcome to the Lane County Business Personal Property page.  Created for you, our local business owners.  Here you will find relevant forms, statutes, FAQ's, and an educational PowerPoint presentation in an effort to make reporting as easy and straightforward as possible.

Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 308.290 requires every business owning taxable personal property to file an annual return with the Assessor of the county in which the property is located as of January 1.  All personal property is, by law, valued at 100 percent of its real market value unless exempt by statute.

A Business Personal Property Return is a confidential form published by the State of Oregon used to list all taxable business personal property which you own, possess, or control in the operation of your business. Each individual, partnership, firm or corporation that has taxable personal property must file a return by March 15.

If you sell or close your business, notify the county assessor to avoid future liability on the personal property.
