What Can You Do?

Reduce Your Waste!

Lane County residents produce nearly 8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions (MTCO2e) annually. To reduce these emissions, the community will have to act collectively to create and support new policies, make systematic changes, and to alter our individual behaviors.

State of Oregon Programs

In June 2023, the Oregon legislature passed a climate resilience package. Among other things, it requires the Oregon Department of Energy to create a resource hub for people to find rebate and tax break information, technical assistance, financing options and contractors for installation of heat pumps, insulation and other retrofits. The hub is not yet operational.

The Energy Trust of Oregon also offers energy efficiency incentives.

Oregon has a low-income weatherization program, and a Rental Home Heat Pump Program.
