Public Education and Outreach

We can work together to keep our waterways clean and environment healthy!

Stormwater flows directly into the waterways we enjoy. We can work together to prevent pollution from entering our beloved waterways. See additional resources below to find ways you can help make a difference.

Involvement Opportunities

• The Stormdrain Cleaning Assistance Program (SCAP) is a voluntary discount program for businesses in Lane County that provides professional cleaning of storm drains ($65 per drain). It is important to clean storm drains at least once a year to prevent flooding and reduce water pollution from entering our
waterways.

• Lane County’s Adopt-A-Road Program provides citizens an opportunity to “adopt” a stretch of road and remove litter at least twice a year. This enables our county road system to stay clean for our community.
