We're Recruiting Volunteers!

The Lane County District Attorney’s Office Victim Services Program is excited to announce that they are holding an open recruitment of volunteers to work in the Protective Order Clinic.  The Lane County Victim Services Program, a division of the District Attorney’s Office, has been providing services to victims of crime since 1985.

Selected volunteers will receive classroom instruction along with one-on-one training in the areas of the criminal justice system, victimology, crisis intervention, and other areas pertinent to becoming a successful Victim Advocate.

Advocates will be chosen through an application and interview process. Eligible individuals must be at least 18 years of age, able to pass a complete criminal background check, and willing to commit eight hours per week for a one-year period.  Hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday.  Applicants are not required to have knowledge in legal or counseling services. Successful volunteers are those who possess a wide variety of talents and life experiences. For more information or to receive an application contact Carrie Paul at 541-682-7445 or email
