Say Hey! Eugene co-sponsored by Lane County and UO: A quarterly multicultural networking event hosted by Partners in Diversity that welcomes and celebrates professionals of color who have recently relocated to Oregon or SW Washington. Recently relocated professionals of color (aka Honorees) are introduced during a special portion of the program. The event brings together business, government, nonprofit, and community partners to foster meaningful connections and deepen community ties.

Cultures of Belonging Trainings 2025: During this 1-hour training, we will learn, engage, and begin to define what a culture of belonging in Lane County is.

 

  • Monthly virtual trainings of this introductory content are being repeated through the end of the year at various times. Register on LEAP here
  • Dates offered: 4/17, 5/14, 6/23, 7/22, 8/27, 9/29, 10/17, 11/20, 12/19

 

Equity Program Advisory Board (EPAB): Our next meeting is scheduled for 4/29/25.

 

  • During this meeting, the EPAB will further decide on one to two shared questions to ask their networks related to goal five of the Equity Strategic Plan (ESP).
  • This assignment provides the opportunity for EPAB members to exercise their data collection skills and assist with accountability for that ESP goal.

 

Equity and Civic Engagement Intern: Our program will host an intern through the UO’s PPPM Graduate program during Spring term. We are grateful for this opportunity to mentor a student and support their career development. 

  • This intern will be with us from April to June 2025 and they will focus on establishing a framework for understanding how committees and/or advisory boards contribute to Lane County’s role in local government while identifying opportunities for improved civic engagement and effectiveness.
