For Clients

NEWS AND EVENTS: Please see announcements related to Lane County Behavioral Health below, listed from most to least recent.

PeaceHealth University District- September 12, 2023

We have heard a great deal of concern from both clients and staff alike about the recent announcement to close the University Hospital in downtown Eugene that included language that PeaceHealth would like to close their inpatient psychiatry service (the Behavioral Health Unit or BHU) once a community alternative has been found. Their press release specifically mentioned that the proposed crisis stabilization center might serve as this alternative.

LCBH would like to make it clear that it views an inpatient psychiatric service as very different from a crisis stabilization center with services that complement each other but do not overlap. PeaceHealth does not have any immediate plans to close the BHU and the county is working with PeaceHealth to ensure that the full array of mental health services continue to be accessible within our community.

LCBH Lobby Remodel- Sept 1, 2023

Over the next several months, construction workers will be making significant changes to the front lobby to enhance safety and comfort in our lobby.  Please look for signs directing you to other temporary spaces to wait for your appointment while this work is taking place.  We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to the final product.
