The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (
LIHEAP) is a federally funded heating assistance program for all home heating costs including electric, natural gas, firewood, propane, pellets and oil.
LIHEAP applicants are served on a first come, first served basis starting in November.
If you answer 'YES' to all of these statements, your household may meet basic eligibility guidelines:
- Your home address is within Lane County
- You or someone living with you pays a utility company or property manager for home heating costs or purchases heating fuel such as firewood, propane or pellets.
- At least one person living with you has a social security number
- You and the people you live with are at or below the income guidelines listed below
