Community Plastics Collection

Lane County Waste Management offers plastic collection for #2, #4, #5 plastics to "registered" community collectors. Only #2, #4, and #5 tubs, bottles and jugs are accepted. Items must be stamped and presorted by both shape and number. Items must be clean and dry.

NEW (Nov. 2023):
Labels no longer need to be removed with the exception of prescription bottles. All labels must be removed from prescriptions for security and privacy reasons.

To find a volunteer community collector near you, please email [email protected] with your name and complete address, including zip code.

If you are interested in becoming a registered community collector, please email with your name, address and phone number. New community collectors attend a 20-minute orientation at Glenwood Transfer Station. Orientation is by appointment and is limited to two (2) persons at a time.

Thank you to our sponsors Camas Country Mill and Mountain Rose Herbs for providing bags to the program. We couldn't do it without your generous support.

Other Collection Events
Other collection events will be added to this page as they become available.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not travel to collection events outside your town/area of residence, as carbon emissions generated from vehicle use offset any potential emission savings gleaned via collection efforts. To find your nearest collection point, email Lane County at [email protected].
